How do I use Lull Water Soap Nuts?
For each load, place shells in one of the small pouches provided in the package (or substitute a cotton sock or stocking) with the number of shells suggested and then toss into the washing machine with your laundry. Choose the number of shells to use depending on the size of your wash load.

For a cold water wash, use 3-5 shells and re-use up to four times in the same day. For a warm water wash, use 2-3 shells and re-use up to two times in the same day.

The shells are same-day reuseable -- once the shells have been moistened, they begin to naturally break down. If the moist shells are kept for use on a subsequent day, you may find that they have become moldy. Discard the shells in your garden mulch pile.
